Companies sell products or services and in order to produce them, all organizations execute a set of unique processes.
These processes, in order to be executed by people, have to be well defined; and in order to define them well it is necessary to paint the limits of each one, resulting in the roles and responsibilities that create organizational structures.
Roles and responsibilities creating organizational structures:
- The technology supports and automates them.
- The strategy sets the course and objectives.
- The culture defines the way to do the work.
Therefore we can say that processes are as important as strategy, culture and organization.
Our understanding
Let's start by defining that a process is a continuous and repeatable series of related activities that through the use of resources converts one or more inputs into one or more outputs, creating value for the Customer.
To fulfill the mission that each of the companies has, it does so by executing Process Reengineering.
We define that there is a classification of three Supra Processes in each organization and they are the following:
Strategic Processes:
They are those that are carried out by senior management and dictate the direction of the organization, they dictate the direction that the company will take.
Substantive Processes:
Also known as the value chain or the “Core of the Organization”. These processes result in the products or services that we talked about at the beginning of this article.
Support Processes:
They are those processes that correspond to all the areas that support the substantive processes and can provide the products or services that each company sells; An example of these are HR, Financial Resources, Material Resources.
Conclusion:
When we talk about processes it is very important to talk about the methodology, since it is very important that clients can see the level of disaggregation that each methodology has as well as the direction, direction and benefits they will obtain.
